Hong Kong - Day 4 - The Cupping Room - Central, Hong Kong

Morning coffee costs a pretty penny, but they take their coffee seriously, and they brew a pretty good cup.

Cappuccinos are now my staple. They're irresistible with foamy swirls of fresh brew and nutty beans.

My
Avocado Toast comes with a ripe avocado, and the poached egg is a drawstring purse of white that spills a runny yolk.

The poaching is impressively on point. Smash it and smear it like a starving artist.

The coconut Chia Seed Pudding is a much lighter plan, and it’s the perfect day-starter for those who can’t stomach a bigger meal. Poached apple and pear add natural sweeteners to a thicker, more neutral pudding, and dried orange and strawberry slices fruit it up a little more. Their hard and chewy texture adds a welcome contrast of tart and texture.

Expensive. That's the biggest complaint I see for this place, but it's no more or less costly than anything else in the city. Your money won’t get you far here either, but at least you're getting good food and coffee. You could do a lot worse at this price point and I doubt you could do much better.
