Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for us...because it is often the only meal of the day for us. Our jam-packed itinerary leaves little time to linger over lunch, and most museum visits are punctuated by quick bites at a cafe or trail mix on the hike to the theater.
Almost every morning we wake up with a NY Bagel, spread with cream cheese and topped with capers and lox. It comes with a hotel discount, which only improves the flavor.
All options seem quite solid, though I stick with the bagel after deviating to the Breakfast Sandwich once. Nice eggs, bacon on brioche, and the potatoes are good and crispy. But it’s still the salmon that hits the spot.
The hotel is nice, despite the price, though that's quite standard during the busiest time of year. Despite few luxuries, it's comfortable with a small amount of street noise that doesn't interfere with a good night's rest. The central location is crucial for the theater-going theme of this trip.
The bathroom door is my only beef as it slowly slides open no matter what we do. We request a repair, and in their defense, they fix it right away, though not quite the way we would expect. That said, this strong square of tape holds for all six nights of our stay, and at least it's good for a laugh.
