Four Daughters Kitchen - Manhattan Beach

Clean, crisp, simple, sweet. Sustainable, responsible, sleek and chic. The menu is as down-to-earth and uncomplicated as the happy family photos that adorn the monochromatic walls.

The BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich is a hearty homage to a family barbecue, hand-assembled with a thinner, vinegary sauce over tender slow-cooked pork. The slaw is slathered with restraint, a crunchy treat that still preserves the pork.

I can see those four little girls fighting for the fluffy, steamy corn tortillas that enclose the 4DK Signature Tacos. The chicken is simply seasoned and slightly salted, while the fish is soft and peppered with lemon. The pico balances the ripe avocado, and the sour cream adds a layer of creamy cohesion and an element of sophistication.

Breakfast seems simple, and lunch is hardly fancy, but it's good and you feel so good after eating it. No carb coma, no gross, greasy aftertaste, just satisfied and full. To put it simply, I really like this place.
