The Hilton Village may look like just a cluster of hotels, but it actually forms its own ritzy city. Blue Water Shrimp is sheltered amongst all the storefronts of an insanely expensive empire full of marked-up sunscreen for the forgetful and laundry-day sarongs for those who pack light.
Amidst the prissy-pricey, Blue Water Shrimp stands strong, a simple counter with limited outdoor seating featuring affordable finger-food.
Any steak is a good steak, and the Calamari Steak is just right. The thin, salty breading crisps the tender texture, channeling what must be the best box of shake n' bake. The Garlic Shrimp turns up the stinky heat - easy to peel but will smell up your fingers for days.
I could barely find Blue Water in the overwhelming sea of Hilton Village, but it's worth scouring the dark recesses for. A humble island in an expensive sea, this is THE place to go if you feel hungry, garlicky, or broke.
