BFF Trip - Paris, France - Day 8

An espresso is everything as an early morning rain falls around us.

Montmatre is full of steep hills, but nothing compares to the staircase leading up to the Sacre-Coeur...

followed by the 300 winding steps to the dome.

Sacre-Coeur is the highest point in Paris, and when you're walking circles around the narrow dome, you literally feel like you're on top of the world.

From the highest point in Paris to the lowest. The Catacombs.

City of the dead,

Tunnels upon tunnels of strangely beautiful bones of those who have passed.

A grim reminder of what lies ahead but also just a stunning piece of Parisian history. May they rest in peace.

This day was a day of firsts for me. The two things I didn't get to do on my last trip fell off the bucket list, and both were really unforgettable. We even got to squeeze in a nap before heading off to Alain Ducasse.
