A casual cafe, typical fare you'll find at any tourist attraction, but fresher and better. They source what they can from the castle gardens, and I believe they make their own pastries in-house.
This delectable goody is a sticky and honey-sweet conglomerate of super-crunchy wheat grains, and they call it a Flapjack. It’s reminiscent of a rice crispy treat but with much nicer ingredients inside.
The special is a BBQ Pork Sandwich topped with slaw doused in enough Mayo to make a southern boy blush. There could be more meat, and the sauce is on the milder side like most things in the UK, all on a nice and fluffy bun.
As far as tourist feeding areas go, this is one of the better ones. The ingredients are fresh, and it's a nice touch that they're grown on the grounds. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but it's a perfectly good food stop if you come here and don't feel like packing a lunch.
