Skip the meat and just eat vegan. This is a rare restaurant geared toward vegans that tries to accommodate carnivores.
The key word here is "TRY", because they have varying lower levels of success. Their Miso Cod is sugar-coated rubber,
and the Yellowtail Collar is bland and dry. It's undoubtedly overcooked in several spots, but the quality of the fish is clear.
The Sunset Dream sushi is a nightmare. The bluefin tuna on top was not inedible, but it was clearly half brown. The crispy kale dissolves into puddles of oil, making this the only occasion where I actually preferred to taste the kale.
Foodies, don't despair. The fish leaves a bit to be desired, but just a simple side of Kabocha Pumpkin can almost atone for it all. Garlic soy glazes slices of sweet squash, a saute so superb it tastes like it was caramelized.
The Green Garden roll is has a meaty mushroom beneath an avocado cream. Truffle sauce offsets the soft-spoken savor and makes is flavors pop.
When your server is steering you toward the vegan options, (and we did as for advice), don't insist on getting the meat. We ordered poorly here, and I wish I could have eaten better as their vegan potential is clear. Unfortunately, they mutilate fish for a fortune, and that, I can't forgive.
