The wait was too long at Red Car, and they didn't have food at Yorkshire Square. We stumbled upon Tortilla Cantina for a table, and there was a reason they had so many.
It seemed promising at first, plenty of regulars that looked like Torrance townies. They even had a happy hour.
Happiness stopped at the Calamari & Fries. The fries are fine, and the jalapenos on top are a nice touch. The calamari, not so much. The breading looks like dirt and has the texture of sand.
Chicken Taquitos are a better choice, they are a cantina after all. The shredded chicken is solid.
No tacos, never again. The Korean Street Tacos, what a mess! The "sirloin tip" is nothing special, and the Korean sauce is like a sweet barbecue. Pro tip: Putting sesame seeds on something doesn't make it Asian.
The Honey Chipotle Tacos are worse. Just dripping with this barbecue-ketchup so you can't taste the...anything.
Bad food, probably good for watching a game and drinking until you can't taste what you're eating. Would not recommend - La Capilla down the street is so much better.
